Shape Financial Futures

Ready to make an impact? We're building something meaningful here, and honestly, we think you'd fit right in. These aren't your typical corporate roles—they're opportunities to grow while working on projects that actually matter.

Senior Financial Analyst

Strategic Planning & Analysis

What You'll Actually Do

You'll be the person everyone turns to when numbers need to tell a story. Think building financial models that help businesses make sense of market volatility, creating presentations that board members actually understand, and occasionally explaining why that "sure thing" investment might not be so sure after all.

Most days, you'll work closely with our client teams to analyze market patterns, assess risk profiles, and develop strategies that balance growth potential with realistic expectations. It's detective work, really—finding the meaningful insights hidden in spreadsheets full of data.

Essential Skills

  • Advanced Excel modeling (we mean really advanced)
  • 3+ years in financial analysis or related field
  • Experience with financial software like Bloomberg or Reuters
  • Strong presentation skills for client meetings
  • Understanding of Australian market regulations

Bonus Points For

  • CFA certification or currently pursuing
  • Python or R programming experience
  • Previous consulting experience
  • Industry specialization (tech, healthcare, etc.)
  • Strong coffee opinions (office debate material)

A Typical Tuesday

9
9:00 AM
Team standup to review overnight market movements and prioritize client requests. Coffee is essential.
10
10:30 AM
Deep dive into quarterly earnings data for a client's portfolio companies. Building models, stress-testing assumptions.
2
2:00 PM
Client presentation via video call. Walking through risk assessment findings and answering the inevitable "but what if" questions.
4
4:00 PM
Research session for tomorrow's client pitch. Reading industry reports, updating market outlook assumptions, double-checking calculations.

Ready to dig into the numbers?

Applications for this role will be reviewed starting August 2025. We're looking for someone who can start in September or October.

You'll spend time understanding client challenges, then work with our team to create solutions that make sense for their specific situation.

It's not about pushing services—it's about finding genuine ways to help businesses grow. Sometimes that means recommending a competitor if they're a better fit. That honesty tends to come back around in the best possible way.

What We Need

  • 5+ years in business development or client management
  • Track record of building lasting client relationships
  • Understanding of financial services landscape

  • Comfortable with both virtual and in-person meetings

The best part about working here? We actually get to solve interesting problems. Last month I helped a client restructure their debt during a market downturn, and seeing the relief on their faces when we found a viable path forward—that's why I love this job. Plus, our team Friday lunches are legendary.
